Compositions I,II,III are hand printed silkscreen textiles. These massive prints were executed at the School of Visual Art’s Printshop with the help of SVA printshop tech staff, July 2020.
The classic black and white composition notebook (splotch) design was the inspiration for this work. I’m a lifelong composition notebook person. These textiles pay homage to the art of repetition, multiples, and stored knowledge. The prints can be shown vertically, horizontally, underfoot, and combined with objects.
